Travellers between Frankfurt and northeastern China will have a new option starting next month. China Southern Airlines is adding a weekly stopover in Shenyang, Liaoning province, to its existing Frankfurt-Guangzhou route.
This new service will operate once a week, departing Guangzhou for Frankfurt with a stop in Shenyang every Wednesday. Return flights from Frankfurt to Guangzhou will include the Shenyang stopover on Thursdays.
The existing non-stop service between Frankfurt and Guangzhou will continue to operate twice a week, offering passengers the option of a faster journey.
In addition to the new stopover service, China Southern Airlines is ramping up its international connections. The carrier will resume service between Guangzhou and San Francisco starting April 6th. This route has been grounded for four years due to the global pandemic.
This resumption signifies a positive development for travellers seeking a direct connection between these two major cities. The San Francisco route will likely operate with a specific frequency, though details haven’t been announced yet.
With the addition of the Shenyang stopover and the San Francisco route restart, China Southern is expanding its network and catering to a wider range of passengers seeking connections between Europe, North America, and China.
