UK-based travel and event management company, The Appointment Group (TAG), announced the acquisition of Nashville-based Travel Stars. This strategic move strengthens TAG’s presence in the entertainment and luxury travel sectors.
Travel Stars, known for managing touring travel for country music artists and luxury getaways for high-net-worth individuals, will operate as a distinct division within TAG’s existing Nashville office. This Nashville location holds special significance as it houses TAG Academy, the company’s first program dedicated exclusively to touring expertise.
Financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed.
“The acquisition of Travel Stars elevates our touring services to the next level,” said Byron Carr, TAG’s Director of Touring.
Headquartered in London, TAG boasts a global presence with offices in Manchester, New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Their reach extends further into Asia Pacific following the 2023 acquisition of incentive travel specialist CCM Travel in Singapore and Australia.
“Travel Stars is a highly respected name within the Nashville entertainment and travel scene,” commented TAG COO Gabrielle Carr in a press release. “By bringing their renowned travel management expertise under our umbrella, we can offer even more bespoke services to our combined clientele, catering to the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of entertainment and luxury travel.”
This strategic move in Nashville follows TAG’s recent acquisition of California-based production travel specialist, Atlantis Travel, just last month. Both acquisitions demonstrate TAG’s commitment to expanding its offerings in the high-end travel and entertainment sectors.
