Cancun, Mexico – Marriott International has announced plans to bring The Ritz-Carlton brand back to Cancun with the development of a luxury oceanfront resort and residential complex at Punta Nizuc. The project, slated to open in 2027, is a collaboration between FibraHotel, Fibra Danhos, and Beyond Ventures.The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, Punta Nizuc will feature a 131-key luxury hotel and 126 branded residences. The property is designed to set a new standard for luxury living and hospitality in the region.
Brian King, President of Caribbean & Latin America (CALA) for Marriott International, expressed excitement about the project, stating that it would cater to the growing demand for luxury travel experiences in Cancun. The property’s prime location, just 10 minutes from the airport, offers easy access to the area’s attractions while providing a secluded and peaceful atmosphere.

The resort will offer a range of world-class amenities, including a sprawling oceanfront pool complex, a destination spa, six gourmet restaurants, and exclusive residential amenities. The project’s design is being led by acclaimed architectural firms Lissoni & Partners and Cherem Arquitectos.
