Accor, the global hospitality giant, has announced plans to further solidify its presence in India with the development of two new luxury resorts in Goa. These projects, Raffles Goa Shiroda and Fairmont Goa Shiroda, will be situated on the picturesque Goan coastline and are slated to open by 2030.
Raffles Goa Shiroda will comprise 120 exclusive villas spread across 27 acres of pristine beachfront land. Fairmont Goa Shiroda, on the other hand, will offer 400 spacious rooms and suites within a 56-acre beachfront resort.
Both properties will be interconnected by a shared beachfront club and boast an extensive range of amenities. Guests can expect world-class spa and wellness facilities, state-of-the-art fitness centres, a diverse selection of dining options, stylish lounges, vibrant bars, and dedicated event spaces.
Accor has partnered with the esteemed Dangayach Group to bring these ambitious projects to life. This collaboration underscores Accor’s strategic focus on India as a key growth market and its commitment to expanding its portfolio of premium offerings.
“We are thrilled to introduce the refined elegance of Raffles and the renowned Fairmont hospitality experience to the captivating shores of Goa,” stated Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles and Fairmont. “This dual-branded development represents a significant milestone in our journey to strengthen our presence in India and solidify Accor’s position as a leading international hotel group in the market.”
Atul Dangayach, Managing Director of Dangayach Group, expressed his enthusiasm: “We believe Goa possesses immense potential for growth, and these two exceptional resorts are poised to redefine luxury travel in the region. Goa’s vibrant culture and stunning natural beauty provide the ideal backdrop for these new hospitality offerings, which will cater to discerning travellers seeking unforgettable experiences.”
Accor currently operates over 65 hotels across various brands in India. In 2024, the group successfully launched several new properties, including Raffles Jaipur, Grand Mercure Goa Candolim, Mercure Chandigarh, ibis Styles Mysuru, and Novotel Goa, further demonstrating its commitment to the Indian market.
