Global hospitality leader Accor has established a new advisory board, the Global Leadership Council (GLC), in collaboration with travel managers from 17 major corporations. The GLC aims to redefine the future of corporate travel and meetings.
This innovative platform brings together industry experts from diverse sectors, including finance, engineering, and technology, to collaborate with Accor executives. The council will address evolving traveller expectations, the significance of personalisation and loyalty programs, the growing importance of sustainability, and the impact of distribution and pricing on the industry.
A key focus of the GLC is identifying solutions to three critical areas: enhancing traveller well-being, optimising travel costs, and advancing sustainability initiatives. The council’s insights will be instrumental in shaping Accor’s strategies and offerings.
Antony Meguerdijian, Accor’s SVP of Sales for the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, emphasised the rapid evolution of the corporate travel landscape and the importance of adapting to new demands. He highlighted the GLC’s role in fostering collaboration and driving innovation within the industry.
Accor has demonstrated its commitment to industry leadership through various initiatives, including hosting the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) conference and the Gayte event, which celebrated the LGBTQI+ travel community. These platforms have facilitated valuable discussions and partnerships within the sector.
Kerry Healy, Accor’s Chief Commercial Officer for MEA and Asia Pacific, underscored the company’s dedication to building strong relationships with partners and customers. She emphasised the importance of supporting the growth of tourism economies in the region and Accor’s role in driving industry innovation.
By creating the GLC and actively participating in industry events, Accor reinforces its position as a pioneer in the hospitality industry, committed to delivering exceptional experiences for corporate travellers.
