Saudia is significantly broadening its global reach in 2025 with the introduction of more than ten new international destinations. This expansion follows a 16% surge in international passenger traffic last year, signalling the airline’s ambitious growth strategy. The new routes will connect travellers to a wider range of destinations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, opening up new opportunities for both leisure and business travel.
Travellers heading to Europe will have new options with Saudia’s services to Vienna (Austria), Venice (Italy), Larnaca (Cyprus), and several Greek destinations, including Athens and Heraklion. The airline is also adding Nice (France) and Malaga (Spain) to its European portfolio. Further afield, Saudia will now offer flights to Bali (Indonesia), Antalya (Turkey), the Egyptian coastal city of El Alamein, and Salalah in Oman. These additions complement Saudia’s existing network of over 100 destinations spanning four continents.
Saudia’s 147-strong fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft plays a crucial role in this expansion. The airline prides itself on providing a comfortable and efficient travel experience, with modern in-flight entertainment, spacious seating, and a focus on premium service. The arrival of 118 new aircraft, which are on order, will further enhance the airline’s capacity and global reach in the coming years.
Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, emphasised the strategic nature of this expansion. “Building on our strong performance last year, this 2025 expansion plan reflects both market demand and our broader vision for international growth,” he explained. “Each new route has been carefully evaluated to ensure we deliver world-class travel, complemented by authentic Saudi hospitality, to our valued passengers.”
Saudia currently operates over 530 flights daily, and this network expansion reinforces its long-term objective of increasing its global market share. The move also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a leading aviation hub. Saudia’s commitment to improving the passenger experience, through convenient scheduling, superior in-flight services, and investment in technology, remains central to its strategy. The airline’s expanding network provides passengers with greater choice, flexibility, and seamless connections across its global routes.
